Frequently asked questions

When should I book a cake smash session?

I recommend booking 1–2 months in advance to ensure availability and allow time to plan your setup before your baby’s first birthday. Session date should be 3-4 weeks prior to your little one's bday!

Do you provide the cake and decorations?

For styled cake smash sessions, I take care of the setup and cake for you! For simple sessions, you’re welcome to bring your own theme and props.

What if my baby doesn’t like the cake?

That’s completely okay! Every baby reacts differently—some dive right in, some take their time, and some just want to play. I recommend bringing a familiar snack incase they are weary of the cake. I guide the session so we still capture sweet, natural moments no matter what.

Can parents or siblings be included?

Cake smash sessions are typically focused on baby, but we can absolutely include a few family photos at the beginning if you’d like—just let me know when booking! (additional fee added)
